Winter to Spring: Tulle Skirt & Oversized Knit Outfit

I’ve always felt like March is a bit of a strange month when it comes to outfits. Winter is not gone but you don’t feel like it’s spring either. You are trapped between not wanting to give up those cosy winter knits but not ready to jump in the lovely florals which have been hibernating in your wardrobe since last summer.

From my point of view, this transition period between seasons is the perfect time to style your knits with a lighter skirt and show off those legs, which have been hiding in black tights all winter. The cosy knit will keep you warm enough whilst the skirt will make you feel like spring is just around the corner.

For me, it’s all about finding the perfect skirt to keep company to my oversized knitted jumpers which I am not yet ready to pack away. I chose a tulle skirt because I wanted to have that texture contrast between the tulle and the knit which I find a chic ‘clash’. To be honest, the tulle skirt is a great piece to have in your wardrobe and if you love skirts as much as I do you would agree it should be on the ‘staple list’. It’s really versatile and flattering and so easy to style, even during the winter season.

This outfit is perfect for a brunch date, for a Sunday stroll with the family and even for the office – it’s easy to wear, practical and super stylish.

If you want to dress it up, you can go for statement jewellery, as I have. I chose a rhinestone brooch to give a bit of glam to the outfit, as well as a pair of hoop earrings.
