What I Wore to London Fashion Week Festival

Spring is without a doubt my all-time favourite season. Everything around us comes back to life – the nature starts blooming, the colours we wear are brighter and we find ourselves smiling at the sun more. The florals, the lightweight fabrics, the stunning colours injected into clothes – are just a few reasons to get excited when it comes to one of the biggest fashion industry events: London Fashion Week Festival.

I love following trends and keeping up to date with fashion news but I always filter and choose the ones close to my style and to what I feel comfortable with wearing. Pastels are signature colours when it comes to the spring season and basically what I live in during the warm months. When I decided to go to LFWF this year, I knew straight away that pastels will be my colour of choice for whichever outfit I was planning on wearing.

My ruffled asymmetric top was tailored made by Madalina from Aerial Clothes, a Romanian designer, well-known for the bold cuts, the unique colour palette and amazing overlay details.

One of my favourite things about the top is the asymmetrical cut on the sleeves and the high-low waterfall hem. The ruffles around the waist and sleeves make it look really elegant and chic, but relaxed at the same time. The dusty pink/mauve colour is stunningly gorgeous and really on trend this season.

This top is such a wonderful statement piece to have in your wardrobe for any special occasion, from a dinner date to a cocktail party and it is definitely one of those pieces that will make your outfit look effortlessly stunning no matter what you wear it with, from tailored trousers to denim.

I styled mine with a pair of black skinny trousers for that elegant, chic vibe but also because I wanted the top to be the highlight of my outfit. Plus, a pair of skinny trousers is a staple to have in your wardrobe and can be worn with basically anything. I opted for a pair of creamy-pink heels to match with the pastel shade of the top and let that train flow beautifully.

When it comes to accessories, I wanted to go for glamorous and trendy, so I injected this year’s colour into my outfit with this gorgeous lilac cross body bag from Fiorelli and a pair of statement rhinestone hoop earrings from Betty and Biddy.

No need to say that I had an absolutely amazing time, loved the quirky Nicopanda catwalk designer show, had a stroll through all the exquisite designer shops from where I bought some much-needed jewellery.
