Nothing beats a really cosy knitwear and a midi skirt during winter if you ask me. I like wearing jeans or trousers but I am more of a skirts and dresses type of girl. During the cold seasons, that is my go-to outfit when it comes to looking chic, but keeping warm.
If you remember, I’ve already mentioned in a previous post that I am absolutely in love with midi skirts and I have about a dozen of them in my wardrobe, in different styles. Midi skirts can be quite tricky to style during winter because of their ever so chic cut and fabrics that scream light shirts and tops. But fret not, here’s my guide on how to style knits and midi skirts during winter.
Pleated skirt
I think the pleated skirt is without a doubt my favourite midi style because it looks so chic and elegant no matter what you style it with. I bought this burgundy one from Bershka and I like to wear it with a big chunky knitwear, and a belt around the waist. I normally wear my midi skirts with ankle boots, but they go amazing with knee-length ones as well. Casual, and relaxed – I love wearing this to work or for an afternoon stroll around the shops.

Tulle skirt
One of the best things about wearing a tulle skirt and a knitted jumper is the contrast of textures. Fitted or slouchy both work really amazing, it all depends on the look you are going for. If you want chic/elegant, I would go for a fitted jumper and a nice statement necklace. Oversized knits also go great with tulle skirts, they are more quirky and casual, especially if you pair the outfit with biker boots. What I did is mix and match both styles so I layered this chunky grey jumper with a statement necklace for a more classy look, perfect for a night out with friends.

Skater skirt
Nail the midi skirt and winter knit look with one of the season’s most wanted skirts: the skater one. I bought mine from ASOS and what made me fall in love with it was the waist belt which I think looks absolutely stunning. I like to style mine with slouchy, cosy knits and heeled ankle boots for that chic, yet casual edge.
