Welcome to the first ‘Style Lookbook’!
This post is long overdue, as the outfit was actually first published on my Instagram account a few weeks ago, but the blog wasn’t live back then. I received so many questions, so I’ve decided to write about this fab look now.
THAT Midi Pleated Skirt!
‘Give me a midi skirt and I can rule the world’, she says smiling at the camera. I have to confess, I have a small obsession when it comes to midi skirts. And by small, I mean I have about a dozen of them already and still counting… This burgundy one is from Bershka and I bought it for £25 – a real bargain if you ask me. Plus, burgundy is such a great choice of colour for every season.
I picked this up from Primark because it’s really soft and cosy. The styling is pretty great as well – minimal, but chic, and the small split sleeve is such a nice little detail.
This coat from Dorothy Perkins is definitely my fav piece this season. What I love about it is the light pink blush colour, as well as the classic, but eternally chic style. I’ve written a detailed blog about it, along with a few ideas on how to style it here.
I normally go for heels when I wear skirts or dresses, but always choose a practical height, as I commute quite a lot. For this outfit, I chose a pair of suede ankle boots from BIBA because they are not only comfortable and soft, but chic as well.
I bought this lovely burgundy bag last year from Accessorize. They don’t have the exact same one in their collection this year, but here is another fab one which they have in stock at the moment.
I always like to get creative when it comes to accessories – so I went for touches of gold to give a bit of glam to the outfit. I’ve had the belt for a long time, I honestly cannot remember where I got it from (sorry!) but you can find a similar belt from ASOS here. The burgundy and gold earrings are also from Accessorize, they are out of stock but this pair of tassel drop earrings from River Island would look amazing with the outfit.
